as far as I can tell your mailman extension doesn't drop people from
lists when they expire or are disabled from the website - is that
correct? If not is there a plugin available to do this?

The extension does not directly tie Joomla! users to the mailman list or vice versa.
Users can be removed from the list using access to the mailman admin provided by the extension.
The mailman handles invalid email addresses when they occur -- it does not remove them from the Joomla user base, nor does removing/disabling a user in Joomla! remove them from the list.

thanks - also, is it possible to remove the area where you let them edit email? if I let them change their email, then my automated removal system will not work when they expire from site if their list email is different than their Joomla email

Hey, sorry to bother you but I ran into a weird glitch. The component works perfectly for almost everyone, but for one member he clicks "Subscribe" and the notice at the top of the page appears that says "You have been subscribed to this mailing list", but none of the options appear at the bottom of the page and the the Subscribe button still shows. I can reproduce this only in his profile (so far). Any ideas about what could be going on?
