After a little digging - I found the problem - there is a missing html termination on line #479 of admin.mailinglist.html.php. This causes IE to complain since without the termination - there is no adminForm.task object.
Firefox just dosen't complain about it.
Adding the '/>' solved the problem.

If I'm using IE 8, when I visit the 'Mailman Administrator : [ add an existing mailing list ]' page and I hit either the 'Close' or 'Save' button - I get an 'Error on Page' in the IE info bar (lower left of IE). I have to remove the # from the URL in the address bar - which gets me back to the main Joomla admin.
In firefox - everything works as it should!!
Any ideas?? Is anyone else seeing this??
